Maryse Proulx was born April 17, 1964 in Estrie, Quebec. Her passion for the arts led her to complete her studies at Laval University in Quebec: Bachelor of Visual Arts and Certificate in Arts Education. In 1989, she move to Quebec City. That same year, she was accepted as a portraitist on Sainte-Anne Street in Old Quebec City and definitively put aside her other job to devote herself to art. Since 1992, she devotes time to teaching drawing and soft pastel while simultaneously deepening her self-taught pastel education. Exhibitions, painting symposiums succeed themselves, she exhibits all across Quebec, and in some place in Europe. She is now, since 2015, an accomplish street artists on Tresor Street in Quebec City.
