Marie Plante

FR: Artiste autodidacte, Marie Plante a été pédopsychiatre et sa passion pour les arts l'a accompagnée durant sa carrière. Pour sa retraite, elle a chéri son rêve d’artiste et s’y est préparée dès les années 2000. Depuis 2020, elle s’est retranchée dans son atelier et a poursuivi sa recherche en techniques mixtes. En 2021, elle ouvre son atelier-galerie dans le centre-ville de Québec, dans le quartier St-Roch. Elle poursuit sa recherche picturale en travaillant avec les mortiers pour la texture et le relief, avec l’acrylique en aérosol ainsi que l’huile. Elle est une artiste créative et libre dont l’esthétique est empreinte de sérénité

EN: Self-taught artist, Marie Plante was a child psychiatrist and her passion for the arts accompanied her throughout her career. For her retirement, she cherished her dream of being an artist and prepared for it as early as the 2000s. Since 2020, she retreated to her studio and continued her research in mixed media. In 2021, she opens her gallery-workshop in downtown Québec City, in the St-Roch district. She continues her pictorial research by working with mortars for texture and relief, and with acrylic spray for the soft «rendu». She is a creative and free artist whose aesthetic is imbued with serenity.
