The Artist

From  an early age she was inspired by her natural surroundings, the fields, and wide-open spaces. She would keep herself entertained by observing and drawing the cattle, horses, and migrating snow geese she found there.

Building on her childhood love of drawing, she pursued her journey in the world of visual arts in the late 90s as assistant to master engraver pierre-maurice jobin, by the early 2000s as art advisor to celebrated houses. In 2014 she founded her own gallery in place royale in the heart of quebec’s old city, where she represents 27 high-profile quebec artists.

Today her renowned gallery le chien d’or – named for the golden dog of quebec legend and practically in the shadow of the château frontenac – serves both as her studio and exhibition space. As a self-taught artist, she has taken full control of this privileged haven.

Her artistic range is expansive,  with no limits or constraints, whether in her selection of subjects or her approach. There are minimalist landscapes, portraits, still lifes, animal subjects, created via methods classical or modern and everything in between. She uses acrylic, various media, and mixed techniques.

Such tireless creative searching is the quintessence of nonconformity and the source of outstanding works. Tracking her artistic process is a joyful experience that delights the soul.
